Engineered in consort with industry guru Jim Peterson, this advanced 2D/3D system can be mated with any Wolf Cinema projector for the ultimate in image fidelity, calibration accuracy and operational flexibility. While all Wolf Cinema projectors achieve that “filmic image” we are known for around the world, the addition of our outboard ProScaler MK II can help deliver the very “pinnacle of video performance” for today’s most critical viewer.
The Wolf Cinema ProScaler MK II processor is simple enough for any home theater enthusiast to install and use. However, the advanced CMS control suite enables professional calibrators to achieve near-perfect color accuracy and ultra-wide contrast levels in all viewing modes. Both 2D and 3D (stereoscopic) HD sources are breathtaking rendered without undesired artifacts. Standard definition sources (such as from DVDs and television broadcasts) are up-converted to 1080p and displayed with improved visual depth, dimension, and reality. Per-pixel video de-interlacing, 10 bit video processing, MPEG mosquito / temporal and block artifact noise reduction provide vast improvements on marginal HD and SD sources. Most important, multiple calibration memories per video input enable you to save and recall key system configurations at the touch of a button.
A total of 18 audio and video inputs (6 HDMI 1.4, Dolby® TrueHD / DTS® HD Master Audio capable), 2 coax audio outputs and two HDMI outputs (one video, one audio loop through) serve as the switching and processing nexus for your entire A/V system. The included IR remote plus RS-232 control capabilities make for easy integration into any advanced home automation control system.
One of the most exciting technology features is called E-VariScope™: our advanced processing modes when enjoying popular TV and film content on constant height 2.35:1 wide aspect ratio screens. This unique technology enables rapid access to preferred aspect ratios – ex., 1.33:1 (4×3), 1.78:1 (16/9), 1.85:1, 2.35:1 and more – all without the need for an external anamorphic lens (full anamorphic lens support is also provided). E-VariScope brings you that immersive 2:35:1 CinemaScope™ widescreen experience while eliminating those unwanted top/bottom “black bars,” as commonly experienced on smaller-width 16/9 screens. Even your favorite 16/9 shows and 1.85:1 films can be enjoyed in custom “non-linear stretch” modes that fill the full width of your “Scope screen, a terrific enhancement for your favorite sporting or live action events. All Wolf projectors and processors are warranted for 3 years [36 months], parts & labor, from the original Wolf Cinema invoice date (excluding the lamp). Lamps are warranted under this Limited Warranty for a period of six (6) months or 1000 hours, whichever comes first, from the original Wolf Cinema invoice date. If replacement parts and/or a lamp are provided under this limited warranty, such parts and/or lamp are warranted for the remaining portion (if any) of the original warranty period.
