Screen Innovations has introduced what it is calling “the first and only non-masking, masking system projection screen”.

Using SI’s patent-pending telescoping frame design, Transformer transforms its frame size, rather than covering the screen surface and sacrificing viewing area. When the video source's aspect changes, the screen simply changes size on the fly with the same look and feel of a traditional projection screen.

The screen's frame width never changes - it changes aspect ratio, making it ideal for use in theatres as well as multipurpose rooms.

Transformer screen can be installed in less than 30 minutes. This model will be available in the 1st quarter of 2016.
